I am trying to connect an external microphone to my Titanium PowerBook
G4 (1 GHz / DVI) to record a podcast.
I tried a Logitech USB mic, but it was mono and the sound was pretty
bad, so I returned it,.
I picked up a Radio Shack 33-3038 unidirectional mic and mini-plug
adapter today and plugged it into the line-in port on the back of the
PowerBook, but I couldn't get any sounds. I have a feeling that this
microphone requires power. Does anyone know if this is correct? If so,
do I just need a Griffin iMic?
I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a microphone, but I would
like something that works. I've been ready to record my Podcast for two
weeks, but I am tired of microphone problems and just want to get this
off the ground.
Please help!
