I suppose the first question here is 'WHO?' I have never heard of the
place. And yet this represents what is now a trend: Save money and get
productivity out of buying a cluster of G5 xServe Macs.

And again, the result is a top 100 supercomputer.

And they said a Mac could never save you money. Guess someone made a
mistake.

Let's see now. Soon we will be told that there's no such thing as an xServe
Supercomputer, that you have to built it out of more than one. Then we will be
told that OS X cannot do supercomputing without heavy modification, that all
these xServes are OS X Server, and that Apple does not make superconputer
clustering software. When someone points out specific pages on Apple's web site,
the web site will be dismissed as marketing folderol.

But who publishes a Word document on a web page? Yuck!

OS X cannot do supercomputing without heavy modification,
OS X does not do supercomputing out of the box.

Who said that? Apple has recently entered the clustering software
market. Xgrid is an addon to OS X or OS X server. It does not come with it.
Xgrid will be included with OS X Tiger Server.

It is. There are far better applications currently availible that can
do clustering. And guess what, they don't cost an arm and a leg.
