Thank you David Pogue!

Here is Mr. Pogue's blog post from last night. Follow the link below to
watch the fun video. It's sure to give an aneurism to any rabid Windows
fan. And that's what we're here for, right?

Actually, as with the ultra-stupid anti-Apple ads that Windows drones
have done in the past (such as the anti-Switch ads), take it all as
light-hearted humor. Consider this: Maybe the more we poke and make fun
at Microsoft the more likely they will be to actually come up with an
original idea! After all: 'Competition is the father of innovation.'

Tiger Vista?
By DAVID POGUE

Remember how, in yesterday's e-mail column , I noted that Microsoft's
Windows Vista demonstration at CES was unbelievably reminiscent of
Apple's Mac OS X? How most of the new features were clearly lifted from
Mac OS X "Tiger"?

Well, I tried not to be mean about it. But you have to see this
hilarious video made by somebody who's a bit less inhibited. The audio
comes from Microsoft's keynote speech. But in place of the video from
the Windows Vista demo, the prankster has substituted footage of Mac OS
X's equivalent features. This is screamingly, viciously funny stuff.

I hope Windows users are getting the joke because we Mac users are
laughing our asses off!!! ...Laughing in the face of the devil...

'What, oh what, will be in Mac OS X 10.5 that we can ripoff? If only I
could really see into the future!' cries Bill Gates to the earless wind.

Share and Enjoy your Macintosh experience,

But you do realise that its a joke only a few will actually get. When
Vista makes its long awaited appearance, to the masses who've never so
much as seen a Mac, this is all going to be new and innovative. As far
as they are concerned, Microsoft will be the gods of the computing world
for being able to deliver such awesome features! And Mac... erm...
what's that then?

And let me make a prediction:

Right now, Mac OS has quantifiable features that Windows just doesn't
have, or has to rely on third party bolt-ons to fudge them. But while
those features are self-evident advantages for the OSX over Windows,
much of what OSX offers of benefit are small, subtle nuances. But with
the advent of Vista, with all the big OSX-o-like features incorporated,
no matter how messily fudged they may be, the Windows faithful will
choose to no longer see any advantage to OSX. Those little things are
not so easily quantifiable than actual features you can label...

So I hearby predict that the new post-Vista Wintroll claim will be that
Windows is now just as good as OSX, if not better! So why would anyone
want to buy a Mac now when they're not only more expensive, slower, and
have no software, but now runs an inferior OS too? Yep, Apple's going
out of business for sure this time...

You heard it here first! ;p

HAHAHAHAHAHA! AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

And we'll laugh and laugh at the trolls!

HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!

Apple is forever going out of business. Oh my. Did I wet my pants?

We can always take solace in the adage that:

'In the land of the blind.
the one-eyed man is king.'

Yeah, well I have two eyes, and glad to have them. There is a superior
alternative to the Windows PC, I like it that way, and expect enough
other people do to keep Apple succeeding well past Vista's hilarity.

Yeah.. you're probably right to some extent. Just like in 1995. But
this time, Apple has more mindshare. I think.
